FAQ: What is a SEER rating?
A higher SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating means that your system has greater energy efficiency. The current minimum standard SEER rating for air conditioners is 14 and up.
The SEER rating alone is generally not enough to tell you the other improvements that are typically included with a higher SEER rated unit. For example, it is common for a higher SEER rated unit to include extended warranty coverage, 2-stage cooling, a variable-speed fan, etc. These features can save you money and provide a more comfortable atmosphere in your home.
